في إطار مواصلة تنفيذ برنامج "الوعي المالي" الهادف إلى ترسيخ ثقافة الإدارة المالية السليمة بين مختلف شرائح المجتمع، وتعزيز الاستدامة الاقتصادية داخل الأسرة القطرية، نظمت وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية والأسرة خلال شهر سبتمبر ورشتين تدريبيتين بالتعاون مع شركائها

شاركت دولة قطر، ممثلة بوزارة التنمية الاجتماعية والأسرة، في الملتقى الخليجي لكبار السن والاحتفال باليوم العالمي للمسنين، الذي استضافته دولة الكويت تحت رعاية معالي الدكتورة أمثال هادي الحويلة، وزير الشؤون الاجتماعية وشؤون الأسرة والطفولة.

و ترأست وفد دولة قطر سعادة الشيخة شيخة بنت جاسم آل ثاني، وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون الأسرة، حيث شهد الملتقى استعراضاً لتجارب دول مجلس التعاون في مجال رعاية كبار السن، إلى جانب جلسات نقاشية تناولت أبرز التجارب العالمية في تحسين جودة حياة المسنين. كما عُقدت جلسة خليجية مغلقة خُصصت لبحث استحداث مؤشر خليجي مشترك يُعنى بجودة حياة كبار السن.
