شاركت وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية و الاسرة في المنتدى الدولي الرابع "المرأة في الألفية الثالثة "الذي عقد في موسكو ترأست الوفد الشيخة شيخة بنت جاسم ال ثاني -وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون الاسرة، كما شاركت الشيخة/ شيخة بنت جاسم ال ثاني في الجلسة"الحركة النسائية في واقع جيوسياسي جديد: هيكل المستقبل المستدام" و جلسة "دبلوماسية الفرص: مجتمعات النساء كمحرك للتعاون الدولي".
وعلى هامش المنتدى التقت وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون الاسرة بالسيدة/ ألفيا أميروفا، رئيس اتحاد النساء الدولي، و جرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في مجالات المرأة و الطفل و تبادل الخبرات في هذا الشأن.
وكما شاركت إدارة التمكين الأسري في معرض مصنوع بأيدي نساء من خلال عرض منتجات الأسر المنتجة من الحرف اليدوية والهدايا التذكارية بهدف ابراز منتجات الاسر المنتجة القطرية والتسويق لمنتجاتهم في المحافل والمعارض الدولية.
