The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has achieved a new milestone in its record of digital transformation and inclusive services by winning the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) e-Government Award in the category of Best Initiative in Digital Inclusivity. This recognition was earned for its participation with the "Sokoon" application, which is dedicated to digitizing the Unified Arabic Sign Language Dictionary.

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State, issued Law No. (22) of 2025 regarding Persons with Disabilities, following its ratification by the Council of Ministers and approval by the Shura Council. The Law assigns the Ministry of Social Development and Family the responsibility of overseeing its implementation, in coordination with the competent authorities across the State.

To solidify bilateral cooperation in the fields of social development, an official delegation from the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) of the State of Qatar conducted a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to activate the joint Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries. The Qatari delegation was headed by Mr. Fahad Mohammed Al Khayarin, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs.
