
“Social Development” emphasizes the importance of humanitarian action
On the nineteenth of August of each year, the world celebrates the Humanitarian Day adopted by the United Nations. The Ministry of Social Development and Family confirms its commitment to provide all efforts for humanitarian support, which is a common language of compassion among people to promote the values of goodness, affection and mercy.
The Ministry always seeks to support and promote humanity, contribute to alleviating suffering and aid the needy and the groups most vulnerable to harm. It is also committed to participating in humanitarian action initiatives in the belief that the basis of humanitarian action is the societal value inherent in society, of which charitable and humanitarian work is its most prominent feature.
Within this framework, the Ministry is keen to highlight its efforts to support humanitarian work through projects From the Homeland, within the framework of achieving the Ministry's vision towards directing the efforts of institutions concerned with families and women economically, encouraging them to be self-reliant, developing and implementing their projects, and supporting them through training.
The Ministry seeks to provide all services for people with disabilities, in addition to enabling them to obtain job opportunities commensurate with their capabilities, providing education that guarantees their independence, and providing them with all facilities and tools that help them achieve their success and invest their energies as active members in society.
Based on its humanitarian role towards society, the Ministry has devoted its efforts to subsidizing groups to whom the terms of entitlement to social security apply, such as persons with disabilities, the elderly, the incapacitated for work, as well as orphans Widows and divorced women by providing them with financial support. The National Committee also alleviates human suffering in order to make Women, Children, Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly live a decent life, which is the coordinating committee between all ministries and authorities concerned with these groups.
