The “Social Development and family” attains the ISO Certification in information security

The Ministry of Social Development and Family has attained the ISO 27001 Certification, which is granted by the International Organization for Standardization ISO, to various institutions, for applying the latest international standards in management, information security and risk assessment.
In this context, Mr. Ahmed Khalil Abdullah, head of the Information Systems Affairs Committee at the Ministry, stated that the Ministry’s compliance with the ISO information security standard ISO 27001 has contributed to the development of documentation and auditing mechanisms to ensure compliance with local and international regulations and laws, as well as the application of best practices in this arena. It will contribute to achieving the National Vision of Cyber Security that we aim to achieve at the Ministry.
It is worth noting that the ISO 27001 certification is the internationally recognized standard for information security management as it is a globally applied model for developing, enhancing and improving the information security system. Compliance with this standard ensures that the Ministry applies the policy of creating comprehensive security awareness and know-how about information security and protecting the beneficiaries’ personal data through the services it provides.
The application of the ISO standard ISO 27001 is proof of the existence of continuous mechanisms used in the Ministry to assess the information security situation, which is reflected in reducing the impact of any potential security risks and ensures the continuity of the quality of the organization's performance.
