
Second World Summit on Social Development to be Hosted by Qatar Next Year
The Executive Office of the Council of Ministers of Social Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council, held the first meeting of the International Cooperation Committee on Social Affairs, based on the decision of the Ministers of Social Affairs of the Council countries during their meeting held in Doha last September.
In a related context, the committee's work system was approved, and several important issues were discussed. The discussions focused on preparations for the International Disability Summit, which is scheduled in Berlin next year, with the active participation of international cooperation officials in the Ministries of Social Affairs of the GCC.
The State of Qatar will host the Second World Summit for Social Development in 2025. The meeting also reviewed the topics on the agenda of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain this December.
