Qatar Chairs 25th Meeting of Senior Housing Officials in GCC Countries

The State of Qatar chaired the 25th meeting of Their Excellencies senior housing officials in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, on the sidelines of the Second Gulf Housing Week, which is being hosted by Doha from May 13 to 16.


Chaired by HE Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin, the meeting, which is a preparation for the 22nd meeting of the committee of Their Excellencies the Ministers in charge of housing affairs in the GCC countries, dealt with many topics on its agenda, the most prominent of which is the GCC housing action plan for the years 2024 - 2030, the initiatives undertaken by the relevant committees, the housing information rules, and the GCC award in the field of housing. It also discussed the unified general rules for real estate owners and the Gulf Housing Week.


Head of the Human and Environmental Affairs Sector at the GCC General Secretariat Engineer Abdullah Ali Al Rabie appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Social Development and Family in preparing and organizing the Second Gulf Housing Week, its activities and the efforts provided in the field of housing work, and its accelerating achievements, praising the distinguished role played by the Sultanate of Oman during its presidency of the last session of the Gulf Housing Week 2023.


The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations that will be presented to the meeting of Their Excellencies the Ministers in charge of housing affairs in the GCC countries to issue their relevant decisions.
