
Qatar announces its readiness to host the World Disability Summit 2028
The State of Qatar announced its readiness to host and organize the Fourth World Summit on Disability in Doha in 2028, in cooperation with the International Disability Alliance.
This came in the statement of the State of Qatar delivered by HE Minister of Social Development and Family Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad upon heading the delegation of the State of Qatar in the fifteenth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA. entitled “Building Disability -Inclusive societies and Participatory in the COVID-19 Context and Beyond,” from 14-16 June 2022.
On her speech, Her Excellency the Minister of Social Development and Family stressed that the State of Qatar is fully prepared to receive football fans with disabilities in the Qatar 2022 World Cup next November, as hard work exerted over the past years to ensure that this tournament is the most accessible for people with disabilities in the history of the world championships.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family actively participated in the Akhlaquna 2025 Exhibition at the Qatar National Convention Centre from April 30 to May 1.
