As Part of the 4th GCC Housing Week: MSDF Minister Participates in Panel Discussion on "The Future of National Housing"

H.E. MSDF Minister Mrs. Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi participated in the ministerial panel discussion titled "The Future of National Housing: Innovative Policies and Sustainable Solutions," held as part of the 4th GCC Housing Week in the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the session, Her Excellency highlighted aspects of the State of Qatar's experience in developing its housing system, its efforts to enhance the efficiency of housing services, and its use of digital transformation and innovative solutions to simplify procedures and improve the services provided to citizens.

Her Excellency also addressed the importance of integrating the concepts of sustainability and quality of life into housing policies, strengthening strategic partnerships and integration among relevant entities, and anticipating the sector's future needs, in support of building integrated and sustainable residential communities centered on the needs of citizens and families.

The session provided an opportunity for Their Excellencies the GCC ministers concerned with housing affairs to exchange views and experiences on the future of housing policies and the most prominent innovative solutions and practices applicable across GCC countries.

Her Excellency also participated in the panel discussion for senior housing officials, titled "Resilience and Integration: Innovative Frameworks in Shaping the Future of National Housing," where she presented aspects of Qatar's experience and direction in the housing sector. She stressed the importance of strengthening integration between housing policies and other relevant sectors, and of leveraging innovation and modern technologies to develop housing services and raise their efficiency.

The session covered a number of Gulf perspectives and experiences on enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the housing system and developing innovative frameworks that respond to future needs and changes, contributing to improved quality of life and sustainable residential communities.

As part of the events accompanying the 4th GCC Housing Week, MSDF participated in the Social Housing Innovation Conference, attended by a number of officials, experts, specialists and housing sector stakeholders. The conference discussed a range of topics related to innovation in the housing sector and reviewed modern trends, solutions and practices in developing housing policies and services, alongside an exchange of experiences and expertise among participating entities.

MSDF's participation in the conference reflects its keen interest in learning about leading experiences, practices and innovative solutions in the housing field, and in benefiting from Gulf expertise in a way that supports the development of the housing system and enhances the efficiency and sustainability of services provided to citizens.

MSDF also took part in the exhibition accompanying the 4th GCC Housing Week through a dedicated State of Qatar pavilion, alongside pavilions from the GCC states. The pavilion showcased Qatar's experience in the housing sector and highlighted key programs, services and practices that reflect the advancement of the housing system and the services provided to citizens.

The pavilion offered an opportunity to introduce the Qatari housing experience and present the efforts made to develop related services and procedures, contributing to higher-quality housing services that respond to citizens' needs. It also highlighted national practices and experiences in this field, promoted the exchange of housing expertise among GCC countries, and provided insight into the key initiatives, projects and solutions presented by participating countries and entities.

At the conclusion of the participation, the 4th GCC Housing Week events included a ceremony honoring the winners of the 7th edition of the GCC Housing Award and the winners of the 3rd edition of the GCC Housing Hackathon.

During the ceremony, Qatar Charity was honored in the Non-Profit Organizations category in recognition of its contributions and distinguished initiatives in the housing field in the State of Qatar, as well as its efforts and projects that support social and charitable work and promote family and community stability.

This recognition is part of Gulf efforts to support innovation, encourage outstanding initiatives and projects, and open the way for creative solutions and ideas that contribute to developing the housing sector and enhancing quality of life in GCC countries.
