
Owners of productive projects participate in International Shopping Exhibition, Arab Women Exhibition
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by the Family Empowerment Department, participated in the International Shopping Exhibition, which was held from September 27 to October 13 in the southern square of Katara Cultural Village.
The exhibition aimed at marketing the products of the owners of national productive projects for empowering them economically.
The exhibition was attended by 22 owners of national productive projects with various products including perfumes, bukhoor, abayas, gift items, foods and beverages.
Owners of productive projects ‘From the Homeland’ also participated in the Arab Women Exhibition, which was held at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) from October 5 to 10. The exhibitions receive visitors from 10 am to 10 pm, except for Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm.
The exhibition included seven diverse national productive projects, including perfumes, handicrafts, ceramic cups, knitting, clothing, and textiles.
The participation of national product owners in such exhibitions and other events held throughout the year is an important opportunity to promote and market their products, enable their owners to develop their capabilities and talents, increase their competitiveness, and provide marketing opportunities for them, in addition to enriching the labour market and diversifying marketing fields.
Director of the Family Empowerment Department Fatima Al Nuaimi said that the department’s participation in such exhibitions and events is an opportunity to help them market their products.
She said that the ‘From the Homeland’ initiative establishes a culture of sustainability and encourages individuals and families to shift from consumption to production.
Al Nuaimi said that the ministry also works to overcome all the difficulties they face and harness all capabilities to serve them.
From this standpoint, the Ministry of Social Development and Family is keen to provide support to owners of productive projects ‘From the Homeland’ and encourage them with the aim of self-reliance, especially in the field of social development, which is one of the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Ministry seeks to achieve self-sufficiency and provide permanent marketing platform for owners of productive projects ‘From the Homeland’ to ensure the continuation of a decent life for its people, and enable them to contribute to the comprehensive development of society.
