Outstanding participation in the national production project "From the Homeland" at Qatar Camel Mzayen Festival
Represented by the Family Affairs Department, the Ministry of Social Development and Family participated in the exhibition of the national productive project (From the homeland) in the Qatar Camel Festival, from January 28 to February 27, 2023, AD, in the popular village next to the camel racetrack in Al-Shahaniya.
This participation intends to promote the products of national productive projects during the various events held in the country, empowering national productive projects economically. It also assists owners of national productive projects in developing their capabilities and talents, provides marketing opportunities for their products, and increases their competitiveness to highlight interest in crafts that achieve sustainable economic development.
For society, this event encourages local production and self-employment among Qatari families, strengths the economic role of women and their contribution to production, and diversifies the production base. Moreover, it enriches the labor market and diverse marketing fields are also discussed. This participation stems from the principle of cooperation and in the interest of the beneficiaries, through the support of national production projects.
National production projects participating in the Qatar Camel Beverages Festival have diversified: such as sewing and shaping the fabric of Sadu for making camel accessories, participating in several projects specializing in selling traditional Qatari foods to visitors to the festival, as well as sharing perfume projects and selling paintings as well. The Ministry has made great efforts to provide more marketing opportunities for national productive projects by participating in various State exhibitions throughout the year, as well as launching "community markets" projects at the Cartier Canal on Pearl Island on March 27, 2022.
