MSDF Participates in Roundtable Discussion on Making Families More Stable and Cohesive

The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) participated in the roundtable discussion on transforming the social sector toward more stable and cohesive families, organized by the Community Development Authority of the Government of Dubai, as part of the Second World Summit for Social Development taking place in Doha.

During the opening session, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at MSDF Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin said that family is the building block of a cohesive society, stressing the importance of developing social policies that ensure family stability and strengthen social cohesion amid rapid global changes in the fields of employment, technology, and the economy.

Al Khayarin added that the State of Qatar has made the family a central focus of its social policies under the Qatar National Vision 2030, by focusing on enhancing comprehensive social protection, the promotion of work-life balance, and the empowerment of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

He pointed to MSDF's 2025–2030 strategy launched under the theme "From Care to Empowerment," saying that it was based on international best practices and meeting regional and global standards.

The Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at MSDF affirmed the Ministry's continued efforts to formulate more flexible social policies that respond effectively to the diverse needs of different segments of society.

Al Khayarin concluded his remarks by emphasizing the State of Qatar's commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation on sustainable social development and praised the Community Development Authority of the Government of Dubai's roundtable discussion as being a pioneering platform for exchanging expertise and formulating innovative solutions that contribute to building more stable and cohesive families.
