MSDF Participates in 'From Response to Empowerment' Panel Discussion
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) on Tuesday took part in a panel discussion titled "From Response to Empowerment" within the second World Summit for Social Development.
HE Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al-Thani, said the session, hosted by the United Nations Global Disability Fund (GDF), Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), in partnership with the International Disability Alliance (IDA), underscores the shared belief that comprehensive recovery should evolve from response to flexibility and from short-term aid to a long-term, enduring, and systematic impact.
She added that through QFFD and national partners, the State of Qatar is steadfastly committed to strengthening innovative and hybrid funding models that ensure persons with disabilities are not left behind, but are instead included in core humanitarian planning and sustainable development.
