MSDF participates in COP29 climate change conference in Baku
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, participated in a session of 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) held in Baku on November 21, 2024.
The session entitled ‘Gender Equality, to Advance Women's Rights and Empowerment’. The conference is divided into two parts: a high-level session and a technical dialogue aimed at demonstrating political support, catalysing commitments and encouraging governments to commit.
On the sidelines of the conference, a meeting was held with Dr. Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the Qatari-Azerbaijani relations were discussed in matters related to family, women and children’s affairs, and experiences were exchanged in this regard.
