HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi said, "By strengthening families, empowering women, supporting priority groups, fostering active and responsible communities, and promoting productive and independent lives, we are building a more cohesive and resilient society for generations to come."
This came during Qatar Foundation partner university, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, (CMU-Q)'s Dean's Lecture Series where Her Excellency discussed Qatar's strategic roadmap for social development and its role in building a resilient and empowered society.
During her lecture, HE Al Nuaimi presented the Ministry of Social Development and Family Strategy 2025-2030, "From Care to Empowerment," outlining its approach to building a resilient society in alignment with Qatar's Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
She noted that the strategy features five interconnected pillars: strengthening family unity, women's empowerment, supporting vulnerable groups, building social solidarity, and comprehensive social protection, as to enhance life quality and social cohesion.
Her Excellency explained that the strategy represents a breakthrough in Qatar's social development approach, emphasizing that its success requires collective action and collaboration across government, the private sector, civil society, and the wider community.
"Our vision is to move from care to empowerment, creating the conditions for individuals and families to thrive and contribute fully to society. By strengthening families, empowering women, supporting priority groups, fostering active and responsible communities, and promoting productive and independent lives, we are building a more cohesive and resilient society for generations to come," said HE the Minister of Social Development and Family.
