MSDF Launches "Financial Literacy Program" with High Participation
The "Financial Literacy Program," launched by the Ministry of Social Development and Family in early July, continues its various activities. The program is a key initiative within the third National Strategic Projects (2024-2030), aimed at establishing a culture of sound financial management among Qatari society members and promoting financial sustainability within families.
In its concerted efforts to reach different segments of society, the Ministry is focused on strengthening community partnerships and cooperation with various entities. This collaboration helps achieve the program's desired goals. The Ministry has partnered with several organizations, including the Qatar Financial and Business Academy (QFBA) and the Qatar Society of Certified Public Accountants, who will offer a series of workshops. These workshops will be held in various locations, especially during the current summer season, in cooperation with youth summer centers like the Al Wakra Girls Center and the Al Riyadah Girls Center.
On Tuesday, July 16, 2025, QFBA hosted the first training workshop titled "Early Preparation for Future Financial Planning." The two-hour workshop, held at the QFBA headquarters, was presented by Ms. Lulwa Al-Khazaei from the academy. It was attended by participants from various age groups and focused on several key topics, including personal financial management, determining financial priorities, and long-term planning to achieve financial stability for individuals and families.
Due to the overwhelming demand, registration for upcoming workshops has been closed. QFBA is set to hold three more workshops in the near future, including a rerun of the "Early Preparation for Future Financial Planning" workshop. This session will take place at the Al Wakra Girls Center on July 31 and will last for three hours in the evening. The rapid registration fill-up demonstrates the strong and widespread desire among those interested in financial literacy to enhance their financial skills through these expert-led workshops.
The educational and awareness programs under the "Financial Literacy Program," which focus on effective money management, will continue until the end of the year. Specialized training workshops will be offered to different groups, particularly young people preparing for marriage, university students, and new employees, with the goal of enhancing financial awareness and ensuring the economic stability of families.
