MSDF Hosts Event on Al-Shamal Corniche to Boost Local Businesses
Represented by its Family Empowerment Department, the MSDF recently organized a vibrant event along the Al-Shamal Corniche. The initiative drew a significant number of residents from the northern region, all supporting showcasing and promoting products from local entrepreneurs. This effort underscores the MSDF's commitment to facilitating collaborations with relevant entities to bolster these businesses. A key objective is to prominently feature the participation of Home-Grown Project owners in various national events, thereby fostering their economic empowerment.
The event emphasized nurturing the growth of national Home-Grown Projects by enhancing their skills and providing diverse marketing avenues for their offerings. This strategic approach aims to sharpen their competitive edge and contribute to the sustainable economic advancement of the community. The initiative also champions local production, elevates the role of women in the economy, encourages a more diverse range of products, enriches the job market, and broadens marketing horizons.
Reflecting on her Home-Grown Project, "Ahla Ta'am" (Sweetest Taste), Ms. Athba Al-Muhaze shared, "My home-based venture began in 2015, sparked by a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship and a dream of owning an ice cream parlor. Thankfully, things have progressed smoothly."
Describing a pivotal moment, Ms. Al-Muhaze highlighted the MSDF's selection of her "Ahla Ta'am" cart for the Family Day event on the Al-Shamal Corniche as a game-changer. Offering advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, she stressed the importance of well-considered plans and a thorough feasibility study. Resilience against discouragement is crucial, as dedication and continuous improvement drive a project's success and public appeal. I extend my sincere gratitude to the MSDF for this valuable opportunity."
In a related activity, Ms. Bibi Abdullah conducted a popular gift-wrapping workshop, demonstrating creative ways to repurpose used office materials like fabric, adhesive paper, ribbons, and decorative flowers.
This event underscores the MSDF's ongoing commitment to supporting Home-Grown Project owners through the Home-Grown initiative, encouraging their self-reliance in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
