MSDF Celebrates Garangao Night, Empowering Home-Grown Entrepreneurs
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), Family Empowerment Department, proudly celebrated Garangao Night in collaboration with two Ministries: the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Municipality. Festive events thrived at key locations across Qatar, including Darb Al-Saai, Fire Station Museum, Doha Quest at Msheireb, Ain Hleetan Souq at Al Khor City, and Al Rayyan Green Park.
Ms. Fatima Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department at MSDF, stated, "Our Garangao celebrations were designed to showcase and support the exceptional products of Home-Grown Projects. By partnering with relevant entities, we provided entrepreneurs valuable opportunities to participate in national events, integrate into Qatar’s economy, and achieve economic empowerment."
The initiative focused on enhancing the skills of Home-Grown Project owners and providing diverse marketing platforms for their products. This effort strengthens their economic sustainability, boosts local production, and aligns with the MSDF’s vision of empowering women, promoting product diversity, and expanding market access.
"Supporting Home-Grown initiatives, enabling entrepreneurs to achieve self-sufficiency, and contributing to Qatar National Vision 2030 remains our commitment," Ms. Al-Nuaimi added. "We will continue to provide sustainable marketing platforms for these national projects, ensuring a stable income and fostering comprehensive social development."
The Ministry of Social Development and Family’s mission centers on fostering social well-being, promoting family stability, and supporting vulnerable groups. It strives to empower individuals and families and contribute to a sustainable and inclusive society, aligning with the National Vision.
