MSDF, Awqaf Ministry dedicate Friday sermon on the rights of senior citizens in Islam
The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), represented by the Social Welfare Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, organized a Friday sermon on the rights of the elderly in Islam.
The sermon was delivered in several mosques in the country on the occasion of the International and Arab Day of Older Persons for 2024.
A number of Imams from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs delivered a sermon on “The Rights of the Senior Citizens in Islam” to enhance awareness and appreciation among society members about the role of the elderly and their outstanding contributions and to better understand their needs and aspirations.
The Ministry of Social Development, represented by the Social Welfare Department, seeks to benefit from the efforts and expertise of senior citizens in comprehensive development, spread awareness about the need to appreciate them, and highlight their efforts in society.
