
The Ministry of Social Development sponsors home projects activities in several locations, including Darb Al-Saai, with the participation of 100 families
The Ministry of Social Development and Family opened its participating pavilion in the events accompanying the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, at Darb Al-Saai headquarters in Umm Salal Muhammad. The "From the Homeland" pavilion includes different activities that suit all groups, as it contains local food, display, and sale of bashout, textiles, and national products.
100 of productive families are also participating in this year’s activities, distributed over several sites such as the presentation of projects "From the Homeland" in the Ain Muhammad area in the Al-Zubara region, the winter carnival at the old Al-Wakra market, and the display of instant photography crafts for the public and national clothes in the Fun Zone area of the stadiums, "Nama" Gallery in Musheireb at the M7 Center to display modern handicrafts such as gypsum formation, and the effectiveness of displaying projects "From the Homeland" in the Jockey Club.
It also includes other participations in the annual Drisha Festival by presenting From the Homeland" project in (Bayt Al-Khater) located in the Education City area of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. Among the rest were events at Souq-Waqif Doha and the event of tents for culture and heritage to sell products and small gifts to the public from the national products of the "From the Homeland" project displayed in Porto Arabia in the Pearl. These Projects are being presented at the World Cup for Camel Beauty in the Lebsir area in Al Shahaniya.
Furthermore, these events promote the participation of all members of the community and familiarize visitors to Qatar with the celebrations of the National Day, highlight Qatar's history and heritage, and keep abreast of the world's most prominent sporting event hosted in November and December 2022 by Qatar, the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Ministry's activities have also received great prominence among vis visitors at all locations. There was wide participation of home projects in these events, in addition to several small business owners presenting their experiences in production and the support they received to form their projects, which grew over time and won the trust of their clients.
Projects have included food, perfume, incense, sewing and textiles, traditional industries, photography, artwork, and other innovative and creative activities.
This year, the Ministry's activities have witnessed a high turnout of products, especially Qatari cuisine, which is still desired by all. The participation of 100 families is a large number and demonstrates the culture of home entrepreneurs contributing to the culture of entrepreneurship and its effective role in innovation and the achievement of Qatar Vision 2030.
Those families also contributed to enhancing the social responsibility of the relevant institutions, in addition to promoting the projects incubated and benefiting from the entrepreneurship services of the Ministry and "Nama" Center.
