The “Development” organizes a workshop on addiction research
The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Department of Family Affairs, in partnership with the Social and Economic Survey Research Institute - Qatar University, conducted a training workshop entitled “How to be creative in developing research ideas on addictive substance use disorders in children and adolescents”, which targets research teams from different actors in the countries with specialty.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Khaled Ahmed Abdel-Jabbar, a consultant psychiatrist and cognitive-behavioral therapy at the Ministry. The workshop was devoted to address the needs of members of research teams interested in issues related to addiction in children and adolescents in different centers to identify the diagnostic criteria for disorders related to various addictive substances, as well as concepts related to addiction, its diagnosis, available treatment opportunities and rehabilitation, which helps research teams to develop creative research ideas related to addiction and its complications in children and adolescents for the benefit of the society.
